The book is told in first person as she grows up in the court of King Henry VIII and the course of events which lead her to be crowned the Queen of England/5. The Nine Days Queen by Karleen Bradford is one that I can still love now.
This was the book that introduced me to Tudors outside of my beloved Elizabeth I /5. I have this book in my classroom library, and the girls absolutely love it. It's so exciting to see them plow through it and turn around and push it onto their friends.
